In this series I take a look at the human interest side of football. Every week I will interview a new person to find out their stories, where they come from, where they are going, and how football has played a part in their development. I want to know what challenges they have faced and how they have overcome them. These stories will be diverse as I will attempt to talk to people of all genders, ages, and skill levels. It is easy to focus on the player on the field when they have a helmet on as a vague entity. It is time to go behind the facemask.
